Maryland Million Ltd is proud to partner with the Alzheimer's Association for the 32nd running of Jim McKay Maryland Million Day. The goal of this partnership is to increase awareness about the important work the Alzheimer's Association is doing to raise funding and awareness about Alzheimer's care, support and research.
Ellen Torres, development director of the Greater Maryland Alzheimer's Association Chapter states, "We are so pleased to be the charity partner of the Maryland Million. More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and by 2050, this number could rise as high as 16 million. The odds are that everyone knows someone close to them who is touched by this disease. The Alzheimer's Association provides critical care and support to help all those affected, including our 24/7 Helpline. Through our research and advocacy programs the Alzheimer's Association is racing towards methods of treatment, prevention and ultimately, a cure."
