(Timonium, MD – October 17, 2016) Love will be in the air on Jim McKay Maryland Million Day this year when for the first time in the event’s history Maryland stallion farms will be offering stallion seasons to the owners of the top three finishers in seven races this year.

“We are really excited to add value to the day by providing this opportunity to winning owners to breed to Maryland stallions. Jim McKay Maryland Million Day has always celebrated Maryland’s breeding industry,” says Maryland Million Executive Director Cricket Goodall. “Our hope is that this matchmaking will produce future Maryland Million winners!”

The owners of the top three finishers in the seven races with purses of $100,000 or more will choose from the seasons assigned to their race as follows:

1. Winner – first choice

2. Second -- second choice

3. Third – third choice
