Cupid standing in Maryland at Atlanta Hall for 2024 breeding season

Atlanta Hall Farm welcomes legendary Thoroughbred stallion, Cupid, to Maryland and the Mid- Atlantic region as the farm’s first standing stallion.

“Atlanta Hall Farm is thrilled to announce the arrival of the esteemed G1 winning and siring  Thoroughbred stallion, Cupid, to our Maryland-based breeding program. This transfer from Coolmore’s Ashford Stud in Kentucky to our prestigious and historic facility marks an exciting new chapter for both Cupid and Atlanta Hall Farm. We are honored to welcome Cupid, and we look forward to working with breeders to bring his exceptional genetics to the next generation of champions.” said Garrett Murray, stallion manager and owner of Atlanta Hall.

Cupid sold for $900,000 as a yearling at the 2014 Keeneland September yearling sale. His graded stakes victories include impressive wins in prestigious races, including the Gold Cup at Santa Anita-G1 and the Rebel Stakes-G2.

Sired by Tapit, one of the most influential stallions in the past half century, with 31 G1 winners and four Belmont Stakes-G1 winners, Cupid is quickly emerging as a powerhouse sire. Recent winners include Carsons Run, who took the Woodbine Bet365 Summer S-G1 at Woodbine for 2-year-olds. The win secured his place as a contender in the 2023 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf-G1.

Cupid will stand for $8,000 S&N for the 2024 breeding season, subject to change.
