Maryland Million Art Competition Winner Announced

And the winner is….Kristina Davis!

Kristina’s piece titled, Nothing but You and the Finish Line, depicts three-time Maryland Million Classic winner (and fan favorite!), Eighttofasttocatch. Based on a photo taken by Eric Kalet, this portrait completed with graphite pencil brings back fond memories of his final Maryland Million Classic win in October 2014.

The artist, Kristina Davis, recently graduated from the University of Maryland with an M.S. in Equine Science. She hails from Bowie, MD, and enjoys trail driving with her miniature horse, Rain. In her spare time, she draws portraits of animals and is rarely found without pencil and sketchbook in hand.

This piece will be featured on the Maryland Million Gala invitation and program cover. Learn more about the Maryland Million Gala here.
